Your soldier's unit

Reach your soldier's command.

Every brigade at Fort Drum keeps a staff duty desk staffed around the clock. When you can't reach your soldier, it can get word to their leadership.

01

Start with the company

Your soldier's first sergeant, company commander, and SFRG (Soldier and Family Readiness Group) leader are the fastest route. Get their numbers from your soldier or the SFRG now, before you need them.

02

After hours, or no answer: the staff duty desk

Find your soldier's battalion below and call that brigade's desk, 24/7. Have ready: their full name, rank, company and battalion, your relationship, and a number to call you back.

03

A family emergency while they're deployed or in the field

Use the Red Cross Hero Care Center, 877-272-7337, 24/7. It's the Army's official channel for emergency messages about a death, a serious illness, or a birth.

04

Not safe at home?

Go to Help Now first. The crisis lines come before the chain of command.
