Expedited review, half the application fee, and if you need it a temporary practice permit for up to six months in the professions NYSED licenses, like nursing. Not automatic: start the paperwork early.

NY has 3 veteran property-tax exemptions, and you can claim one

Alternative, Cold War and Eligible Funds. The deadline in most towns is March 1: confirm it with your assessor. None of it happens automatically.
